The Josh Platzer Society For Teen Suicide Prevention and Awareness was founded by Jude Platzer in 2001 after the death of her teen-aged son Josh. The Josh Platzer Society (JPS) impacts the community through awareness raising initiatives and hands-on workshops. JPS runs a speaker series to schools helping equip students to deal with the struggles of depression and thoughts of suicide. We participate in world-class events such as the BMO Vancouver Marathon, conduct an Annual JPS SIlent Auction, and fund the Josh Platzer Memorial Fund, available to students at a local Vancouver high school.
